Another bad day. I called the head of admissions and told him my story. He said it was unfortunate that somehow my application literally got lost in the mail. He also said that the registration deadline was March 15 and they don't give exceptions to that rule. I find this incredibly ridiculous. I can see having a deadline so they don't have applications coming in at the last second. But an honest problem like mine should at least have a process to be excepted from this rule. I have a few calls into people that might have greater influence on the admissions office, but it doesn't look good. I've spent a lot of time studying and it would be a shame to have it go to waste.
